Consideration of historical truth, and the enslavement of a nation divided part 1 by Ken LaRive

Read the Ken LaRive Column at the Examiner

There are three distinct methods of recording historical truth that will begin to be discussed in part two, and from the start I will say that none of these methods are trustworthy. Understanding this is paramount to our very survival, but along with this revelation we must also recognize that without a trustworthy “standard” we are lost. Truth, and a trustworthy standard, must work in conjunction.

These thoughts will be discussed below, and when understood, should be taught to your children as early as possible.

It is no wonder we are so divide as a nation; we attempt to both obtain and formulate truth from unreliable sources and methods, then struggle to utilize these half truths and lies to create a viable opinion with the intent to take action.

This is most important to recognize, because without truth there can be no safety, no liberty, and no freedom.

Our circumstances are now dire, but surely, the danger we historically faced as a nation have also  threatened our survival, as a common people, as a country, but without a truthful and trustworthy history we are virtually doomed to repeat them. No free nation can exist without truth. No decision, no conclusion, no unity can be found without it. An overstatement? Without truth we are slaves.

If we, as a people, can demand truth, we can regain this nation from the bottom up. If not, we are surely lost.

Above all method or source, the idea of an American standard must be addressed first, because without understanding that, a lucid perception of historical truth will never be found. Again, without truth, there will never be a cohesive solace in America. Without a source for truth, we will always be a nation divided, and easily controlled, and yet we must have a method to understand truth when it is presented. This method is called a “standard”.

An American standard, as I will attempt to explain, does not refer to a standard of living, but a specific standard method of thinking. Both, however, contributes to our overall well being,  but the two cannot be compared but for the method of finding them.

Both concepts contribute to a common reference point, and this misunderstanding has done more damage to America than any standing army, weakens and separates us as a nation more than any other, and strangles us from all directions. It is the primary reason we are so dominated and controlled.

In one moment of insight, this can all be changed.

It starts in your own mind.

A mode of thought, a mindset, an attitude, certainly contributes to your standard of living, where a level of wealth, happiness, comfort, material goods and necessities are weighed and evaluated. It is an attempt to ascertain a certain socioeconomic class in relation to a specific geographic area, but a “method of thinking” has to be studied separately.

A method of thinking employs the same formula, both mindset and attitude, but it is used to create a  standard of thinking instead. The real danger lies in that the standard we choose to embrace, and it is a conscious choice, can promote both constructive or destructive  tendencies and consequences. The wrong standard can weaken us, and ultimately destroy us all, so we must choose wisely.

Choosing the right standard

In reflection, one of the major differences between the “right” and “left” in this country is the understanding and manipulation of the word “responsibility.” One mindset, based on a particular method of thinking, would be to accept responsibility for self as a true indicator of freedom and liberty, whereas another might consider that government manipulation and control of our lives is, in and of itself , a form of freedom, from fear, or hunger perhaps, and that giving responsibility to a third party frees them to act irresponsibly, and or without consequence.

Of course, no one would consciously admit that, and emphatically deny it, but it must be known by observation that when government grows, liberty withers. If liberty is our common denominator, what standard would secure it?

The selfish self-responsible person accepts his standard, as does the selfish and irresponsible person accepts theirs, and yet we both attempt to view truth through the same lens. Note that both are considered “selfish,” but that is the only similarity in this comparison. A complicated similarity that is nebulous at best… To come together for a common cause is a primary obstacle that will have to be addressed for or posterity.

An obstacle that must be understood by self reflection, because having a responsible or irresponsible standard is learned, and not by force, but derived by conscious intellectual insight that goes back all the way to mother’s knee. And though this could be debated infinitely, it seems that only a responsible standard will set us on a course of liberty. All others on a course of slavery.

Truth, as viewed from a responsible standard, is so important that virtually everything hinges on it.

It is the catalyst for both war and harmony, freedom or slavery, and the determination of right and wrong.

It is the turning point, the mechanism, the goal and the method.

If you are to teach anything at all to your children, this would seem the most worthy of all, and the old adage “Truth is in the eye of the beholder” would be understood.

The theory states that a subconscious set of mental “filters” is formed from beliefs and experiences, and that every individual interprets the same world differently, hence “Truth is in the eye of the beholder”. -Timothy Leary (1920-1996) Unity can only come when we embrace the same, or similar, standard of thinking.

In part two we will discuss the different methods of recording history.  Without understanding truth in history, we can never realize who we are, as an individual or a nation, and will founder without a means of moving forward. An education not based on truth is propaganda, and only with a standard based primarily on individual responsibility will truth be accurately seen and understood.

Our children are taught just the opposite in our Government mandated educational system. It is up to you to teach individual responsibility to your children. That is your responsibility.

“The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.”
― Gloria Steinem

“Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t.”
― Mark Twain
