The Washington Post’s new survey tainted by Progressive bias? by Ken LaRive

A new poll from the Washington Post is said to be showing an amazing trend: Americans value safety over liberty. They state that 56 percent of those polled said that government should monitor everyone’s phone records, and should go to any length to uncover terrorist activity. They also said that the people they polled stated that an investigation into possible terrorist threats should be done, even if personal liberty is abolished.

Only a slight margin, 41 percent, said that broad-based monitoring should not be acceptable, including the telephone call records of millions of Americans.

Back in 2006, it was originally reported by WP that even though the NSA was found to be monitoring e-mail communiqué without court approval, fifty one percent approved of the practice, according to their survey.

Only a slight margin, 41 percent, said that broad-based monitoring should not be acceptable, including the telephone call records of millions of Americans.

But can these numbers be trusted? The Washington Post has a long history of far left bias, from their coverage of the Catholics and the Abortion issue, The Gosnell Blackout, The March for LifeBenghazi, and literally thousands more. So what do they have to gain?
So, should we question these numbers? Indeed we should! So who is the Washington Post anyway, and what do they have to gain?

Commentary said:

“The Washington Post is home to some outstanding reporters and columnists. But it is also a newspaper with a decidedly liberal bent (which is why Obama says he respects it and the New York Times so much).”

Wikipedia said this:

The Washington Post Company is an American mass media company, best known for owning the newspaper for which it is named, The Washington Post.

The company also owns Kaplan, Inc., a leading international provider of educational and career services for individuals, schools, and businesses. In addition, the company owns The Slate Group, Express, El Tiempo Latino, The Gazette and Southern Maryland newspapers, The Herald (Everett, WA), Post-Newsweek Stations (Detroit, Houston, Miami, Orlando, San Antonio and Jacksonville), Cable ONE—a cable TV and Internet service provider with subscribers in Midwestern, western, and southern states—and Avenue100 Media Solutions, an online lead generation provider.

The company previously owned Newsweek and Newsweek.com, but sold the magazine in 2010 after years of financial losses.

So that is true media power. The power to dominate and control the mind of America. Big government, big corporations controlling our Congress, an international banking consortium promoting war and nation building, the Federal Reserve and 17 trillion in national debt, …that this is the Washington Post.

The Washington Post said this:

“The poll was conducted Thursday through Sunday among a random national sample of 1,004 adults. Results from the full poll have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The question on monitoring everyone’s online activity was asked starting Friday; results from that question have a 4.5-point error margin.”

“Cohen is polling director for Capital Insight, Washington Post Media’s independent polling group. Capital Insight pollsters Peyton M. Craighill and Scott Clement contributed to this report.”

One of The Liberty movement’s primary objective is to find a source for truth, as without truth no intelligent decision can be made. The Washington Post is what some have called a biased “Liberal Rag”, and for decades, and that assertion still holds true today.

It seems that it is all about profit, and truth has little or nothing to do with their reporting.
